Color analysis using the CIELab method to support visual analysis – Case study on sparkling and rosé wines

Color is increasingly important in the evaluation of wines; it is one of the main characteristics capable of decisively influencing consumer purchasing choices, especially for rosé and sparkling wines.
During the DEMO, the enormous advantages of using the CIELab method (OIV reference method) over the classical method (three-wavelength reading) will be highlighted, through the presentation of case studies and practical applications in the winery. In addition, you will have the opportunity to perform CIELab analysis on different wine samples via the SMART ANALYSIS platform; you can bring your own if you’d like to analyze it together.
