Challenges in the wine sector and the role of the ancillary industry: preliminary results of a European survey on wine production requirements

The EPAWI project and the WICA (Wine Innovation Cluster Alliance) network are committed to understanding the major challenges of the wine value chain and how to respond to them through technology and knowledge.
Only collaborative innovation between end users (winegrowers and wineries), industrial, technological and service companies, and technology and knowledge centers will enable us to meet the challenges of the future.
This presentation will describe the needs of the sector (sustainability, digitalization, marketing …) extracted from a survey of more than 500 companies in the sector and will present the objectives and activities of the newly created WICA.
