Enoforum and Plataforma Tecnológica del Vino: a key collaboration to drive innovation in the wine sector

The collaboration between Enoforum and Plataforma Tecnológica del Vino (PTV) represents a significant step forward in strengthening an innovation ecosystem focused on the practical application of scientific and technical knowledge in viticulture and oenology.

Beyond an agreement, this alliance reinforces Enoforum’s role as a leading technical conference in Spain for presenting R&D results with a direct impact on wine production.

Enoforum: scientific transfer applied to technical decision-making
For professionals in the sector, Enoforum is not just a conference, but a space for scientific and technical updates where experimental data, validated technological developments, and tools with immediate application in both vineyards and wineries are shared.

The Enoforum program combines different formats to promote knowledge transfer. The auditorium will feature national and international keynote speakers who will address the main scientific and technological challenges facing the sector, along with presentations from the R&D departments of innovative companies, focusing on specific solutions and proven results.

The tasting room will offer a practical evaluation of wines produced using cutting-edge technology, while the exhibition area will facilitate contact with companies and the presentation of scientific posters.

In 2026, a new space dedicated to the viniculture sector will also be added, with monographic sessions focusing on highly topical issues.

The PTV actively participates in Enoforum 2026
As part of this collaboration, the Plataforma Tecnológica del Vino will actively participate in the technical program through the session: “Wineries 4.0: real experiences of digitization.”

This session will address specific cases of digital transformation in the viniculture sector, with a special focus on tools and methodologies aimed at improving operational efficiency, optimizing resources, and strengthening control of production processes through advanced technologies.

During the session, two strategic projects of specific interest to the sector will be presented:

SMARTWINERY Project: towards the smart winery
The University of Murcia, together with Productos Agrovin, Plataforma Tecnológica del Vino and NEUROPUBLIC, has launched the European SMARTWINERY project.

The goal is to optimize the winemaking process by developing a smart winery model that allows for: reduced operating costs, increased production capacity in traditional wineries, shorter processing times, and improved final wine quality.

TECNOBARRICAS Project: homogeneity and stable functional properties in barrels
In cooperage, oak wood is traditionally classified according to grain, a visual criterion that does not ensure functional homogeneity or stable properties between barrels.

The Grupo Operativo TECNOBARRICAS proposes developing a system for classifying staves based on their oxygen transfer rate (OTR), a key parameter in the evolution of aged wine. The aim is to improve consistency between barrels, ensure greater functional regularity, and provide a more objective and accurate technical basis for wood selection.

Active participation and technical opportunities for partners
The Plataforma Tecnológica del Vino will also have its own stand at Enoforum, facilitating direct contact with industry professionals and technical exchange.

Thanks to this collaboration, PTV members will be able to actively participate in the conference, promoting projects, establishing new partnerships, and connecting with wineries, research centers, and technology providers.

Enoforum 2026 is thus consolidating its position as a technical meeting point where science and business converge with a common goal: to provide concrete solutions to the current challenges facing the wine sector.

An unmissable event that you can already mark in your calendar
Ticket sales will begin in mid-March, with special early bird rates.
