Editions

Since 2000, with the first edition taking place in Montesilvano (Pescara), the Enoforum conference has grown to become the most important oenological event in Europe, with over 1,200 participants in the Italian edition alone and reaching as far as Portugal, Spain and the USA. In 2020 we inaugurated the web version, which has now been reconfirmed for 2023 as well, in order to propagate the latest news in the wine sector worldwide, in 4 languages simultaneously.

The first edition of Enoforum USA met its goal of introducing American operators to its winning formula combining the advantages of a congress with those of an exhibition fair.

Enoforum web conference 2021

In this edition, the scientific papers were presented online. Enoforum Web Conference was held with simultaneous translation in four languages, from English to Italian, French and Spanish.

The highlight of this edition was the amount of new knowledge made available to technicians: no less than 65 speakers took to the virtual stage, more than a third of whom were from France, Australia, Spain, Chile and Brazil, including papers from public researchers as well as experts from leading supplier companies.

A resounding success for the inaugural edition of Enoforum USA, digitised due to COVID, which was attended by an attentive audience of more than 1,400 participants, with 24 lectures, 17 of which were by non-American researchers.

7 May 2020 marked the conclusion of Enoforum Web, the first technical-scientific conference for the wine sector to be held entirely online, with 30 speakers connected via Internet from Spain, Italy, France, USA, Australia, Argentina, Chile and South Africa.

Enoforum numbers continue to grow: 150 lectures in three conference halls over three days, 80 posters, the sampling of 200 experimental wines, 50 company desks and the attendance of 1,200 conference participants from all over Italy.

On 31 May and 1 June 2018 at the Zaragoza Fair Congress Centre took place the 11th edition of Enoforum, the first in Spain, and already a record-breaker with almost 500 technicians, 40 research groups and 28 leading companies.

The 10th edition is testimony to the continued expansion of the event that is dedicated to innovation in the wine sector; innovation in the sense of the large-scale application of new technologies that significantly improve wine production in a given region.

The 9th edition of Enoforum confirmed its itinerant nature, moving to Vicenza, with over 1000 participants, 102 oral presentations in two conference halls, 40 posters and 5 wine tasting sessions.

In its 8th edition, Enoforum confirms its winning formula by combining the advantages of a conference with those of an exhibition fair: producers have access to a showcase of global innovation, researchers can present their work outside the academic circuit and supplier companies can promote their R&D.

Great success for the seventh edition of Enoforum, the international meeting of wine research and technology. At the Tuscan venue, the event grew with over 100 scientific studies from no less than 74 Italian and international research centres and no less than 950 visitors.

The 6th edition of Enoforum, Piacenza Expo, was enhanced in its content by invited seminars given by prestigious international speakers and video seminars screened in a dedicated hall.

A successful attendance and high quality content.
With 60 oral presentations and 80 posters, the rich congress programme offered a comprehensive overview of the innovations in the field over the previous two years.

From 21 to 23 March, the 4th edition of Enoforum attracted an average of over 600 industry professionals to Piacenza every day.

The event became international through the participation of 11 speakers from around the world.

The third edition of Enoforum was held from the 12th to the 14th of March at the Scuola Enologica di Conegliano, making it a biennial event.

The three-days event was attended by more than 400 oenologists, producers and journalists from all over Italy.

The second edition also took place in Montesilvano (PE), from 9 to 11 May 2001.

The aim of the event is to bring together and compare those actively involved in the development of the oenological sector in a context that allows for the thorough treatment of certain technical-scientific topics and the in-depth exchange of ideas and/or doubts.

On the 25th and 26th of May, in Montesilvano (PE), was held the first edition of ENOFORUM.

It was a meeting between researchers in the wine sector, wine producers, professionals who revolve around wineries and companies actively involved in the development of the sector.
