The OIV has committed to a four-year strategic plan for sustainable development in response to the challenges faced by the international wine producing sector.
The winemaking sector is facing some very significant challenges for the future. Digitalisation and the intensification of technological processes are part of this challenge that organisations such as the OIV have to face.
One of the most important pillars of the OIV’s Strategic Plan is the facilitation of the digital transition of the wine sector. OIV’s work to address the current challenges and, more specifically, some projects relating to Commission II Oenology will be presented.
