Great success of the first edition of Enoforum on the road in Chile
A success beyond expectations, in a few words this is the synthesis of the first edition of Enoforum on the Road Chile, an international technical-scientific congress dedicated to the wine sector that was held from November 8 to 9, 2023 at the Viña Concha y Toro Research and Innovation Center (Talca).

Gianni Trioli, president of Vinidea, the company that organized the event, expressed his great satisfaction: “We have received a great welcome and exceptional interest from all the players in the Chilean wine industry. The technicians have shown great curiosity for the research and innovations proposed by 48 speakers from 7 wine producing countries.”
The main peculiarity of the Enoforum congress is its ability to bring together in the same context the three pillars of innovation in the wine world: grape and wine producers, the world of research and supplier companies.
During the two days of the congress, a series of lectures on innovations in the development phase and already applicable in practice followed one after the other.
Leading winemakers and vineyard technicians from Chile and Europe shared their experience in solving the challenges they face in their work.
The extensive public research program proposed has been built on the basis of a survey prepared by WICA, “Wine Innovation Collaboration Alliance”, which seeks to promote cooperation at a global level with the aim of developing the wine production sector. The survey received responses from numerous Chilean technicians thanks to the collaboration of the Chilean National Association of Agronomists and Oenologists, the Chilean Wines R&D Consortium and Viña Concha y Toro.

In addition, the program included tasting sessions of European and Chilean wines in small groups.
This peculiarity of the Enoforum on the Road format has allowed attendees to better understand the technical, environmental and socioeconomic context in which these innovations were applied through the exchange of opinions and information with company representatives, enriching the event with valuable dialogue.

It also fostered networking among the various pioneers of Chilean innovation to whom we thank on behalf of the organizers.
