Great success of the third edition of ENOFORUM ESPAÑA

SHARE:

In the two days on wine innovation in Zaragoza, 500 technicians attended the presentation of innovative solutions from researchers from 10 countries and 28 leading companies in the sector.

The third edition of Enoforum Spain, which took place at the Palacio de Congresos de la Feria de Zaragoza on April 20 and 21 and was attended by 500 congress participants, has ended. After the first on-site edition in May 2018, in 2020 the pandemic forced a virtual edition which, however, allowed to expand the participation to 1500 people, with an important presence of technicians from South America.

«The success of Enoforum – says Gianni Trioli, founder of Vinidea and creator of Enoforum – lies in representing, for technicians interested in innovation, a unique opportunity to acquire in a short time all the information necessary to successfully transfer new technologies to their own productive reality: the principles and scientific bases of new practices, the details on equipment or products that allow their application in the winery or in the vineyard, the experience of other technicians, the elements for a preliminary cost/benefit analysis. All this can be found at Enoforum. ”.

Enoforum’s figures give a measure of the amount of information available to industry technicians.

The congress program included 43 presentations, 23 of which were of a scientific nature, given by university researchers, and 20 technical talks by R&D&I managers from innovative companies. 6 tasting sessions, attended by more than 200 congress participants, provided concrete examples of the results that can be obtained with the new techniques. 28 innovative companies presented the results of their R&D activities through presentations at the congress, demonstrations and tastings at the stands in the exhibition area. In addition, six European projects were presented at Enoforum: Horizon, Life, Cosme.

According to Paloma Caldentey of Vinidea, coordinator of Enoforum Spain 2022, “technicians and companies have responded enthusiastically to the proposal of an event where they could finally meet and exchange experiences and opinions gained in recent years. The organization of such a large and complex event requires a great deal of dedication over many months. On the other hand, the growing and consolidated collaboration between the teams of Vinidea, Excell Ibérica, Feria de Zaragoza and the various media that have collaborated in the dissemination of the event, has allowed Enoforum 2022 to be carried out with great public participation and without any technical problem. ”.

The involvement of the institutions and associations of the Spanish wine world is the result of the work of Antonio Palacios of Laboratorios Excell Iberica who, at the closing ceremony of the event, stated that “the 3 objectives of Enoforum 2022 -participation, internationalization, sharing of innovations- have been successfully achieved. The participation of 500 people made Enoforum the largest Spanish congress in the sector. More than half of the congress papers (25 out of 43) were presented by foreign speakers from 9 different countries. The qualitative level of the innovations described was very high, as were the interactions of the technicians with the authors of the public and private research. ”.
