Emerging digital technologies in European viticulture: a review
Javier TARDAGUILA, Televitis Research Group, University of La Rioja, Logroño, Spain
Winegrowers face major challenges caused by climate change, labor shortages and rising production costs. In recent years there has been considerable development and experimentation with non-invasive digital technologies.
In this presentation, a range of sensing technologies will be described including spectroscopy, multispectral and hyperspectral imaging, chlorophyll fluorescence, thermography, electrical resistivity, LIDAR (Laser Imaging Detection and Ranging) and machine vision. Artificial intelligence will also be discussed.
