Innovative analytical solutions for wine quality and authenticity control
Since the Estación Enológica de Haro (EEH) was founded in 1892, the EEH has been dedicated to the study of wine and viticulture, and is proud to serve as the official laboratory of the Government of La Rioja (Servicio de Investigación Agraria y Sanidad Vegetal), and provide a point of reference for viticulture and winemaking in Spain with its work.
In 2015, a Wine-Profiling™ from Bruker was acquired and this new technique came to some extent to revolutionize wine analysis through origin and variety certification. The combination of this technique with chemometrics opens up a new world in wine traceability and authentication, making this equipment stand out above any method previously used in the wine industry.
The versatility of this technique and of this equipment makes it possible to adapt the analysis to the specific needs of the client, and it can be used for self-control, fraud detection, or improvement of the winemaking process, among other purposes.
